Yes, however with a very different approach. Osteopathy and Chiropractics were founded by the same group of individuals with 2 different ways to complete a task. Chiropractors uses a higher velocity manipulation focusing on the Central Nervous System affects that some individuals find very helpful, while some do not find the same relief. Osteopathic manipulations addressing more fluid dynamics and function vs primarily structure. These treatments are very gentle and use your own body mechanics and active engagement to adjust or release areas of restriction which some find less inflammatory to their condition.

Comfortable and stretchy clothing. Some of your adjustments may require you to move into large ranges of motion and tight restricting clothing may hinder your assessment and treatment outcome.

Treatment is generally quite relaxing and you may find yourself comfortable enough to sleep, while some sessions may require you to stay very active and engaged to utilize muscle to aid in your adjustments.

  • This is your time to take it easy.
  • Drink lots of water and eat nutritious meals. Although it may not immediately feel like it, your body has undergone numerous changes during the treatment and will need to be rested in order to continue its job of healing itself.
  • You should allow your body 24-48 hours to take on treatment, this means no heavy lifting or vigorous exercise.
  • A light walk to integrate treatment is also recommended.
